Solana Foundation launches global online hackathon with prize money and grants up to $1 million to support the development and rapid expansion of its growing ecosystem.

Solana Foundation, a non-profit organization, supporting and expanding the Solana network, announced a global hackathon, dedicated to Web3, DeFi и NFT. Хакатон Solana Season, open to teams from all over the world, will take place over three weeks, beginning with 15 May.

The hackathon offers a global prize pool in $400 000, as well as potential start-up funding for teams, which increases the prize amount to $1 million. Regional tracks offer additional prizes for teams from their respective countries, including the track of Eastern Europe and the CIS countries with the largest prize fund in $155 000, which included partners of the Hacken Foundation, Gate.io, as well as selected grants from Serum, STEP, Velas и Akash Network.

The track will be supported by 1inch Network, 3Commas, FTX, AAVE, Waves, ForkLog, BeInCrypto, Incrypted, Zerion, Bitfury Crystal, Solstarter, MXC, OKEX, HSE and ITMO universities, as well as the innovation center Innopolis. An event will be held as part of the East European track, dedicated to the opening of the hackathon. The prize fund of the Chinese track will be $125 000, Indian - $50 000, Brazilian - $25 000.

Individual projects will also have the opportunity to compete for additional prizes with the support of MultiCoin Capital, DSRV, Nonce, Raydium и Serum, as well as the grand champion prize, who will win $50 000 в USDC-SPL. Solana Season is a competition, in which projects will be judged by judges for their technological merit without regard to legal viability and will be open to any use case, associated with Solana. Hackathon participants will create software exclusively for evaluation by judges within the framework of the competition, not for commercial deployment or hackathon release.
