Popular weather service AccuWeather launches its own Chainlink node, to provide access to weather data around the world through smart contracts.
AccuWeather claims, thanks to a special programming interface, developers will be able to access Temperature data, moisture, pressure, Wind speed and weather anomalies around the world.
The smart contract can be used to release non-replaceable tokens (NFT), which change depending on the weather, as well as to automatically adjust the parameters of the supply chains depending on the weather and the creation of the markets for weather or natural disasters.
“As one of the first weather services, who joined Chainlink, We are very happy to bring our data to this developing market using blockchain ", - said the Global Director of AccuWeather products Kurt Fullep (Kurt Fulepp).
Recall, that the Chainlink project creates a network of decentralized oracles - trusted data suppliers. Recently, Avalanche blockchain developers announced the integration of Chainlink.
