For the first time in the history of the music world, rare audio interviews with The Beatles - John Lennon, Paula McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr - to be auctioned as NFTs.
As reported by Voices of Classic Rock Archive (VOCR), the company will put up for sale four rare audio interviews of The Beatles: John Lennon on "A Day in the Life", Paula McCartney on "Chaos and Creativity in the Backyard", George Harrison on Abbey Road and Ringo Starr on His Lost Locket.
"Interview with The Beatles, which are in our collection, – these are our most valuable assets. That's why we decided to start with John, Half, George and Ringo - true classic rock stars. These interviews haven't been heard for decades.. The auction represents the first time, when interviews with rock icons are offered to the general public in the form of NFTs", – said VOCR Director Jonathan Firstenberg (Jonathan Firstenberg).
Each NFT includes a WAV file of the interview. Tokens were created on the Origin NFT Launchpad platform on the Ethereum blockchain. Bidders can only use ETH for bidding and payment. NFT starting price – 1.25 ETN (about $4 000).
VOCR assumes, that the target audience includes almost all ages, but will be especially perceived by “baby boomers”, who actually grew up listening to the music of The Beatles. VOCR is also targeting Gen X audiences, Y, Z and millennials, believing, that many, perhaps, inherited from their parents a love of classic rock music.
Recall, that earlier this month a plot of virtual land in the "metaverse" project The Sandbox was sold for $450 000. Besides, three small plots, directly adjacent to Snoop Dogg's "estate", were put up for auction by OpenSea. Each premium lot comes with a set of three exclusive NFTs, branded "Snoop Dogg".
