Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase announced a new approach to innovation. According to plan, 10% of the company's resources will be spent on supporting "breakthrough innovative ideas".

Coinbase Director of Product Surojit Chatterjee (Surojit Chatterjee) in an article in the company's blog talked about new plan "Project 10%", which will change the working philosophy of the exchange. Chatterjee noted:

"Project 10%" describes the philosophy of our resource allocation. So, 70% our time will be devoted to basic work, the main functions of the platform. More 20% resources we will devote to the development of strategic products and solutions. AND 10% will be given to innovative experiments ".

Among the "breakthrough innovations", the site's management sees developments, allowing to "functionally change" the user experience, metrics or platform capabilities. At the same time, some of these investments will be unsuccessful., but it normal, stressed Chatterjee:
