The CEO of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange, Sam Bankman-Fried, dispelled rumors about the acquisition of the Huobi trading platform. There are no plans to make this purchase in the future either..
In August, Huobi management began negotiating with investors about the sale 60% company shares. It was reported, that the head of FTX Sam Bankman-Fried (Sam Bankman-Fried) actively participates in them, because I am interested in concluding an acquisition deal. However, Bankman-Fried recently tweeted a clarification, that FTX has no plans to acquire Huobi.
Just to be explicit because apparently a lot of people are saying this:
No, we are not planning to acquire Huobi.

On the list of investors, who participated in "preliminary negotiations" with Huobi, Tron founder Justin Sun is also mentioned (Justin Sun). He published a similar rebuttal, stated, that at the moment Tron is not dealing with issues, related to the purchase of Huobi. According to San, it is not related to the Bloomberg article, citing unnamed sources.
We have not engaged any matters related to the Bloomberg story at this moment.

maybe, the basis for the rumors was the expansion of FTX's presence to create a stable user base. At the beginning of the year, the exchange launched a new venture fund, FTX Ventures, on $2 billion for the development of blockchain and Web 3.0. This fund has become one of the largest in the cryptocurrency industry. Last year, the exchange completed a deal to acquire cryptocurrency derivatives platform LedgerX.
This is not the first time Bankman-Fried has denied the reports., published in the media. In July he denied the information, that FTX is going to acquire mining companies, facing problems in the market.
