Gorillaz will hold a virtual concert simultaneously in London and New York – Bits Media

Gorillaz music group announced a concert performance in New York and London as part of an experiment with augmented reality (AR) Based on the Google Location Determination Service.

The "almost live" performance by Gorillaz will be available for viewing through free Gorillaz Pressents, proposed for downloading on Android and iOS devices. The virtual concert will use the Google augmented reality tool based on the determination of the location. The tool uses Google Maps data and GPS coordinates to apply constant supplemented reality in the physical world.

According to VR Scout, For the Gorillaz Google concert, the geospatial API Arcore applies, which will allow developers to connect digital content with real locations in the Google Street View. The concert will take place this weekend simultaneously at Times Square in New York and on Picadilli Square in London.
