Authorities of India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed an economic partnership agreement, which includes cooperation on the development of blockchain and other emerging technologies.

This was announced by the director of the international offices of the Chamber of Commerce Dubai Omar Khan (Omar Khan), adding, that special attention will be paid to such industries, Like a blockchain, artificial intelligence (II) and financial technologies. Khan is waiting, that a bilateral trade agreement will significantly strengthen ties between the two states. General Secretary of the Association of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Deepak Sood (Deepak Sood) considers, that thanks to this partnership, the trade volume between India and the UAE could reach $100 billion. Now this figure is $60 billion.

New partnership will see Dubai Chamber of Commerce become the exclusive provider of trade solutions, in which blockchain is used, throughout the Middle East. This is not the first deal, Администрация Дубая продолжает внедрять блокчейн в государственные услуги, and also actively pursues a policy to attract companies and investors, interested in digital currencies.

Given the increase in food supplies from India to the UAE, эти страны начали использовать блокчейн еще несколько лет назад. IN 2020 году индийская компания CropData Technology при поддержке Дубайской многопрофильной товарно-сырьевой биржи (DMCC) представила платформу Agriota E-Marketplace, through which UAE food producers were able to directly source ingredients from Indian farmers, transparently tracking all information via blockchain.

The capabilities of this technology were also appreciated by law enforcement agencies in Dubai.. In March they reported, that they plan to use AI and blockchain to track suspicious transactions with cryptocurrencies, to prevent money laundering and terrorist attacks at airports.
