Non-profit IOTA Foundation joins the list of contractors, selected by the European Commission to participate in the first design phase of the European blockchain infrastructure EBSI.
Following the results of the tender, IOTA Foundation, together with its subcontracting partner Software AG, 30 applications to the European Commission, IOTA was one of seven selected contractors.
Commenting on the results, co-founder and CEO of IOTA Dominik Schiener (Dominik Schiener) wrote on Twitter, that I am glad and proud to participate in the global European project. He hopes, that “IOTA will become a fundamental technology for Europe and the world.”
EBSI. Starting with 2020 of the year, EBSI is gradually rolling out a network of distributed blockchain nodes across Europe, selecting and maintaining applications, corresponding to the selected use cases.
Текущие инвестиции в проект составили около €4 млн, and about €6.2 million will be allocated for subsequent stages of infrastructure creation.
