Kelly ETFs Files to Launch Ether Futures ETF – Bits Media

American company Kelly ETFs, engaged in the issuance and servicing of exchange traded funds, filed an application with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to launch an ETF on ether futures.

According to the application, Kelly Ethereum Ether Strategy ETF will invest in Ether futures on regulated exchanges in the US. Currently, this definition includes ether futures only on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.. Respectively, The fund will not directly invest in ETH - the structure of the new ETF is similar to the structures of already approved funds for Bitcoin futures.

This is the only bid for ETH futures, currently under consideration by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The regulator has 75 days for its consideration. However, The SEC may well delay or even reject the application.. So, according to Bloomberg analysts Eric Balchunas (Eric Balchunas) and James Seyffarth (James Seyffart), the likelihood of Kelly ETFs application being approved is no more than 20%.

James Seyffarth previously said, that the SEC may approve the launch of an Ethereum futures ETF earlier, than an ETF with direct investments in Bitcoin. There is a possibility, that this will happen at the beginning of next year and the Kelly ETFs fund will be the first of its kind.
