MDS Mexico uses blockchain to authenticate COVID-19 tests – Bits Media

Mexican company MDS Mexico, providing medical services, launched a blockchain platform to verify the authenticity of COVID-19 tests.

According to MDS Mexico, the company has developed a blockchain platform, which will allow you to access the results tests in real time using a QR code. This will help avoid falsification of negative tests and protect patient data.

“To avoid falsification of negative results, we started certifying SARS-CoV-2 tests using blockchain", - says in the company's statement.

Test results, uploaded to the blockchain, also include the doctor's signature, who checked the test result.

MDS is not the first organization in Mexico, implemented blockchain to digitize test results for COVID-19. National Chamber of Commerce, services and tourism of Mexico (CANACO) in April announced an initiative to digitize vaccination passports in partnership with private firm Xertify.
