Meta will open an offline store for the metaverse in California – Bits Media

META company (ex Facebook) intends, through the Meta Store, to invite users to learn more about the possibility of using VR devices in Metaverse.

Meta reported, which will open a retail store for equipment for the virtual reality space (VR) called Meta Store 9 May in Burlingame, California. The store will sell virtual reality headsets, video communication displays, smart glasses and other similar products. The store will open on the Meta campus next to Reality Labs headquarters in Menlo Park, where the development of the Metaverse metaverse takes place.

The store will be equipped with a wall-to-wall curved LED screen, which will display that, what users see with the Meta headset. Meta Store Manager Martin Gilliard (Martin Gilliard) stated, that the point of sale is to help users gradually enter the world of the metaverse. Gilliard clarified, that the store will give customers the opportunity to look into the future, in which the metaverse will take a central place in the life of society.

“The meta store will help people connect through our products, which in the future may become a gateway to the metaverse. We do not sell Metaverse in our store, but we hope, that people will come to the store and learn a little more about, how our products will help you connect to the metaverse", - said the store director.

Recently, a former Facebook product manager criticized Mark Zuckerberg's statement about the security of the metaverse, which is planned to be used to effectively set up targeted advertising.
