Samsung new TVs will support NFT – Bits Media

South Korean manufacturer of electronics and household appliances Samsung plans to add the possibility of buying collection tokens to several lines of their “smart” TVs.

As noted in the announcement, NFT support will receive Micro Led TVs, Neo QLED и The Frame. Collection tokens support will be added to the Smart Hub system. In addition to NFT, the system will support cloud games and video calls. The statement emphasizes:

For Samsung, this is not the first experience with collectible tokens. Earlier, the venture unit of the South Korean conglomerate invested in several startups, working in this area. for instance, Samsung funds were received by Sky Mavis, Axie Infinity.

Previously, the co -founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin recognized, that he underestimated the level of development of the cryptocurrency industry and therefore could not predict the formation of the NFT sector and the popularity of collection tokens.
