The Natixis Investment Managers study showed, that two-thirds of American investment professionals believe, that private investors do not need cryptocurrencies.
The survey involved investment professionals from 141 American company, total amount of funds under whose management is $2.7 billion, CNBC reports. The managers include private banks, financial consultants, brokers and other institutional investors. This attitude towards investing in cryptocurrencies on the part of specialists is caused by concerns about transparency and prospects for regulation of digital assets.
Wherein 40% respondents recognized, that interest in cryptocurrencies from clients of their companies is constantly growing, especially among young investors. 87% respondents emphasized, that the cryptocurrency industry needs to be more transparent. 84% Respondents are considered, that the industry needs regulatory oversight. Around 70% respondents noted the need for better training in working with digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
"Think, it is difficult to recommend investments in such assets, when you are responsible for asset management. Think, hence the indecisiveness of managers.", - says Dave Goodsell, CEO of the Natixis Center for Investor Insight analytical center (Dave Goodsell).
Note, that among Russian officials the sentiment is similar - the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation proposed limiting investments in digital assets 50 000 rubles for unskilled investors.
