The Polkadot team has launched the Anti-Scam Bounty fraud program to improve its ecosystem security, in which participants are offered a monetary reward.
As part of the program, Polkadot community participants find fraudulent sites, Fake profiles on social networks and phishing applications, masking under Polkadot, and also protect Discord servers from hacker attacks. The list of tasks includes creating training materials for users, as well as the development of a special Anti-SCAM toolbar for protecting against fraud in the Polkadot ecosystem.
The performance of each task is supervised by community members, who interact with performers and offer ideas for a more efficient achievement of results. For their efforts, users receive a certain reward. Now the program is guided by three curators from the Polkadot community and two employees from Web3 Foundation.
Initiatives to improve safety and detect vulnerabilities are launched by many cryptocurrency projects. So, last year, After hacking Poly Network, the creators of the network announced the program for the search for bugs in the code totaling $500 000. Before the activation of Altair, the developers of the Ethereum organized a similar program 2.0.
Recall, that in October Web3 Foundation and the EDX International Educational Platform launched courses about the basic principles of blockchain work on the Polkadot platform.
