President of AvaLabs, developer of the Avalanche blockchain, John Woo spoke about plans to launch his own wallet and his vision of it, how is it supposed to work.
In a recent Decrypt podcast, John Woo (John Wu) said, that the Avalanche team plans to develop its own wallet, which will be easy to use for people, completely ignorant of cryptocurrencies.
“If we really want to expand the market and attract new users, we should focus on people, accustomed to simple investment tools. Such people don’t have time to understand complex APIs and other intricacies - they need ease of use.”, – noted Wu.
As an example, he cited such platforms, like PayPal and Square, even non-digital users learn to work with quickly and organically. According to Wu, AvaLabs hopes to create something similar.
New AvaLabs Core Wallet Aims to Simplify Avalanche Transactions and Start Supporting New Assets, such as bitcoin. The difficulty is, that the Avalanche architecture does not allow this, since it is focused on the Ethereum network and other blockchains, compatible with it. According to Wu, someone should come up with an idea, how to combine these ecosystems, and if the Avalanche team doesn't do it, then someone else will do it.
Recall, that in November last year Avalanche announced the launch of a Blizzard venture fund on $200 million and incubators, project-oriented AVAX.
