Swiss subsidiary of Gazprombank received a license to store cryptocurrencies

Gazprombank Ltd, Swiss branch of Gazprombank, received a license from a local regulator to provide custody services for digital assets, as well as cryptocurrency trading.

In their press release, Gazprombank representatives emphasize, what license, issued by the Swiss service for supervision of financial markets (Finma), will allow the bank to provide services, related to cryptocurrencies, to its corporate and institutional customers.

Clients will be able to use the solution to store crypto assets of the institutional level, and also buy and sell bitcoins. In the future, the number of supported cryptocurrencies will be increased. The General Director of the Swiss division Gazprombank Roman Abdulin noted:
