The developers of the Israeli startup Kirobo have created a tool for a “rollback” of erroneous transactions in the Ethereum. Previously, the startup developed the refund technology for the erroneously sent BTC.
According to the developers' statement, Retrievable Transfer service is now available for return erroneously sent coins in the Ethereum network. Previously, the technology made it possible to return
bitcoins, By error sent to incorrect addresses. ERC-20 standard tokens will be supported by the service later.
“The use of our logical level finally eliminates the need to send a test transaction, Dramatically reducing the level of user concern when translating crypto assets to a third party ", – Said the Director General of Kirobo Asaf (Asaf naim).
Retrievable Transfer is available for Metamask users and any wallet, Using Walletconnect protocol. The tool gives users the opportunity to return crypto assets, sent to the wrong address, by generating a password, Which is introducing the sender. The recipient must also enter the appropriate password. Failure to fulfill this requirement allows the sender to return the money, Without canceling the transaction.
According to Kirobo, The service is designed to protect against sending coins to smart contracts, which do not support deposits, as well as from attacks through an intermediary.
The problem of the return of crypto assets sent by mistake is relevant for the industry since its appearance. In February, information appeared, that an unknown miner was able to restore almost 9 000 BCH, erroneously sent by users to SEGWIT addresses, And assigned these coins. Besides, In May of this year, the Ethereum community discussed the possibility of creating a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) for return ETH, sent to the wrong addresses.
Recall also, that recently the user mistakenly sent AAVE tokens worth $1.1 MLN to the Smart-Contract Token. Now these tokens are blocked in the blockchain and they cannot be returned.
