Twitter software engineer posted a video, which shows the NFT confirmation function for the user account avatar.
According to the video, which was prepared and first published
on Twitter by social network software engineer Mada Aflak (Mada Aflak), an NFT option will appear in the user profile.
Twitter profile can be connected to a cryptocurrency wallet – in the video these were Coinbase wallets, Trust, Argent and Metamask, and then download all your NFTs from OpenSea. After choosing one of them as your avatar, A blue Ethereum icon will appear next to your profile name, icon-like, which verified Twitter users receive.
Aflac emphasized in the video, that it was just an experiment with a layout, and in the future everything may change. The use of NFTs as avatars on Twitter has skyrocketed over the past six months, making Twitter's addition of a verification system a valuable feature.
Last week, the social network Twitter announced
about supporting payments in bitcoins to encourage users. The feature is currently available in the iOS client, but will soon be available on Android.
