Smart Contract Capabilities Added to Theta Mainnet

Theta blockchain streaming platform developers have updated the main project network and added the ability to deploy smart contracts, among other improvements.

Theeta is one of the projects, which develops after the ICO boat. Closed sales of Theeta token on $20 Milln accredited investors were completed in January 2018 of the year.

According to Theeta Labs, The main network of the project now supports the possibilities of smart contracts, Starting from the block 8 411 427. As part of the update, changes were also made to the stake process:

"The threshold of blocking of stake assets is reduced to 1 000 THETA, Starting from the block 8 411 427, as for new nodes, and for additional stakes of existing nodes ".

Other changes include an updated website with information about the protocol, Updated conductor by blocks, providing data from smart contracts, and a set of TheTA-JS JavaScript SDK developers.

“This update will not require the existing holders of tokens of any actions or the movement of tokens-no replacement of tokens occurs”, - It is noted in the article on the project blog.

In the coming weeks, developers plan to make other improvements, including adding Google Chrome for Theeta wallets. In May, Theeta announced the launch of the updated version of Theta 2.0, as well as cooperation with Google.
