Despite the statements of the president, Hundreds of residents of Salvador took to the streets, to declare his disagreement with the adoption of bitcoin. Among the protesters were as representatives of the older generation, Veterans and pensioners, so ordinary workers. The main reason for dislike for bitcoin is the instability and volatility of the asset.

“We know, that the course of this coin is subject to strong fluctuations. The value of bitcoin changes literally in a second and we cannot control it ", - emphasized a member of the trade union Stanley Quintereros (Stanley Quinteros).

Protesters declare, that most of the inhabitants of Salvador against the recognition of bitcoin by a legal payment means. In their opinion, recognition of bitcoin can give an impetus of corruption, especially against the background of opaque and authoritarian laws of the country.

Earlier, representatives of the Salvador Association of International Cargoers published
statement, which opposed payments in bitcoins. They even said, that when paying for cargo transportation services in bitcoins, they will take an additional commission in the amount 20%, to "protect yourself from the volatility of cryptocurrency".

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance Salvador assured
citizens, that the use of BTC in the country will be "exclusively optional", and refusing to accept cryptocurrency companies will not be subject to sanctions.
