Hacker Hacking DeFi Value Protocol Recovers DAI Cost $95 000

An attacker, the attacked protocol of Defi Value and stole crypto assets on $6 million, returned DAI for the amount $95 000 After receiving messages from injured users.

Defi Value protocol was attacked in the morning 14 November and lost crypto assets worth $6 million. For attack a hacker used the popular Defi tool - quick loans. The victims due to hacking users began to write messages to the hacker in the comments to the transactions ETH. One of the allegedly injured users wrote:

“I lost $100 000 during your attack. I am a nurse. These are all my savings. Hope, You will return them to me. Everyone is sick. Think about nurses, who care about you, When you are sick. I wish you to always be healthy and rejoice at the happiness of the world. God bless you ".

In his response, the hacker noted, that “so many people are deprived of knowledge and careless, So sooner or later this money will still be lost ". Nonetheless, He returned to the injured user 50 000 DAI. Then the hacker translated 45 000 DAI user, who claimed, that he is a student, who lost $200 000 Savings of their family in the hope of getting high income.

Defi Value's developers also turned to the hacker and invited him to leave crypto assets for the amount $1 Milln as a reward for the discovered vulnerability and asking to return the rest:

“The hint is understood! Obviously, We were not so aware, What they thought. How about $1 Milln as a reward, And you will return the remaining DAI back to our injured users? We have a plan, to compensate for all losses, Who was the problem in our community, And this will accelerate the process ".

but, Apparently, The hacker decided to leave himself almost $6 mill and disagree with the proposal of the developers of the protocol.
