The Laos government announced the intention to introduce blockchain technology into social work, economic and state structures.

Prime Minister of the country Sonexay Syandon (Sonexay siphandone) announced the creation of the Blockchain Technology Committee, which will be responsible for the control of the legislation, digital economy.

“Laos should become the first country on the planet, which will completely switch to digital technologies. This will reduce the role of the country in the world, will give advantages in the development of the economy and help improve the life of the people ", - proclaimed Sonexay Syandon.

The Laos Ministry of Technology reported, that the process of preparing for the digital transformation of the economy with the help of blockchain has already begun. The Ministry signed an agreement on technological cooperation with Singapore Bank Metabank. The parties intend to create a center for research and development in the field of blockchain, as well as organize training and training of the necessary personnel.
