Beansstalk developers offered hackers 10% For the return of the rest 90% stolen tokens – Bits Media

The developers of the recently hacked decentralized credit protocol Beastalk invited attackers to return 90% stolen tokens and leave yourself 10%, which is about $7 million.

Initially assumed, that hackers were able to display assets on $182 million. However, later it turned out, that the total value of the stolen assets was $76 million. Now the developers are trying to return at least part of the stolen. They published a call for hackers on Twitter, and also wrote it in a commentary on the transaction, which was sent to a wallet of attackers.

It is worth noting, that in fact, the hackers did not hack the protocol-smart contracts worked like this, as well as designed by developers. The attackers took advantage of the vulnerability in the logic of work and the architecture of Beansstalk and were able to derive a significant amount of crypto assets.

Currently, BEANSTALK smart contracts are disconnected. Developers think over the new architecture of the protocol and determine the steps to restart the project. To do this, they need to return most of the stolen, or collect new funds for payment to users. The founders of Beanstalk are considering the possibility of releasing new tokens.

At the beginning of the month, hacking
another protocol of decentralized lending. Hackers stole the assets on $15 Milln from the Inverse Finance project.
