Brazil has a new exchange-traded fund for bitcoin BITH11. Fund management company Hashdex Asset Management announces, that this is the first "green" ETF for bitcoin.
The fund will maintain its “green neutrality” through purchases of CO2 credits. For this Hashdex signed an agreement with the German Institute for the study of carbon emissions, associated with cryptocurrencies (CCRI). The institution will annually issue a report on, how much CO2 was released into the atmosphere when creating bitcoins, stored in the fund.
BitH11 managers plan to invest annually 0.15% fund assets to the purchase of quotas and in the development of environmentally friendly technologies. The theme of "green" cryptocurrency funds is gaining popularity in connection with fears about the dangers of bitcoin production for ecology. Recently, the Skybridge Capital investment company acquired
38 400 tonnes of tokenized carbon credits.
“The new ETF provides investors with access to the largest digital asset of the world, To the potential of its growth and value. This is adjustable, Safe product, Moreover, with a careful attitude to ecology ", -noted the director of public relations of the B3 Stock Exchange from San Paulo Rogerio Santan (ROGERIO SANTANA).
Last year, Hashdex together with Nasdaq launched
The world's first ETF on Bitcoin on the Bermuda Islands Stock Exchange.
